PathwayConnect’s low-cost education program prepares students for a successful transition into higher education. Once completed, students can continue through USU.

Students completing the one-year PathwayConnect program offered through BYU-Pathway Worldwide now have expanded offerings through a collaboration agreement between Utah State University (USU) and Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYU-I). A Memorandum of Understanding between the universities to transfer PathwayConnect credit to USU was recently signed, establishing the relationship.

“Teaming up with PathwayConnect fits perfectly with our mission,” said USU Interim Provost, Larry Smith. “We want our university to be accessible, a place where students can come and continue to build and improve themselves, and in return improve their own communities. USU’s statewide system works naturally with the PathwayConnect program.”

PathwayConnect’s low-cost education program prepares students for a successful transition into higher education. Once completed, students can continue through USU, taking classes at one of the 33 regional campuses or centers, at USU’s main campus in Logan, or USU-Online.

According to BYU-Idaho Online Vice President Jon Linford, a major benefit of the partnership is the smooth transition from the PathwayConnect community to USU’s regional campus community. “We are delighted Utah State University is welcoming PathwayConnect students to their programs. USU’s online programs and regional campuses provide excellent opportunities for BYU-Pathway Worldwide students throughout Utah.”

Another benefit USU brings to PathwayConnect students is a broad spectrum of degree options. Students can take their wide range of interests and apply them toward a focused degree, resulting in a rewarding career. Local advisors at USU’s regional campuses and centers will work with students to develop a degree plan and make sure there is a seamless transition from PathwayConnect to USU.
